Today in History: Monohon Lost to Fire

Eighty-five years ago today, the mill-town of Monohon burned down, leaving only a handful of homes. Monohon was located on the eastern shore of Lake Washington, a few miles north of Issaquah. Some of the homes that survived the fire are still in existence, incorporated into the Waverly Heights neighborhood. You can read more about the day Monohon burned on our web site, or at HistoryLink.org.
